Caroline is a certified Equestrian Canada Coach specializing in Hunter, Jumper and Equitation. She is also a senior judge in all three divisions.
Caroline started riding in the Southlands area of Vancouver at the age of six as a result of contracting Polio. By the age of 13, she was selected to represent BC at the Royal Winter Fair on her pony 'Master Robert' and claimed 1st prize in all of her hunter and jumper classes. Upon returning to Vancouver, Caroline purchased another horse and was provided the opportunity to ride, train and show many different horses. She was fortunate to have had instruction from many excellent equestrian trainers including Victor Hugo Vidal and George Morris.
In 1969, Caroline started her business Tamarack Stables. Caroline owned and operated two farms in Southlands. As clientele grew, she purchased property in Richmond and built a facility with a large indoor arena. The Tamarack group showed extensively in both Canada and the US.
In 2003, Caroline sold her farm and moved to Kelowna to semi retire. Caroline's passion is teaching, young and old, beginner to advanced. Caroline believes in correct equitation, which is the basis of a well rounded rider.
Juniper Hill is fortunate to have a close relationship with Eiren Crawford who conducts clinics regularly not only for dressage enthusiasts but for anyone wanting to perfect their flat riding skills.
